On September 25, 2025, Managing Partner Dr. Matthias Niedermüller und Attorney-at-Law Julian Nigg, LL.M., participated as speakers at the IFA | STEP Liechtenstein NextGen Conference in Triesen.
As experts in estate planning and dispute resolution in private client disputes they outlined the key factors and driving forces behind conflicts during generational changes and estate planning based on a case study. They identified intra family conflicts, unclear and inadequate governance and estate planning, and interventions by individuals outside the family as key dispute driving factors.
Further, potential measures and solutions for the prevention and mitigation of such conflicts were presented and recommendations were also provided on how to manage conflict situations when they arise, along with preventive measures for the revision of existing private client structures.
The presentation aimed particularly to sensitise attendees to the substantially adverse effect and damage of conflicts arising due to a lack of adequate foresight and planning for generational transitions.
Niedermüller Attorneys advises clients on estate and succession planning, as well as on dispute resolution in cases of emerging conflict situations and disputes concerning foundations, trusts, and holding structures.
